BLACKNOSE SHEEP

A PIECE OF VALAIS TRADITION

Dating back to the 14th century, the Blacknose sheep is documented as an authentic Valais original.

Adapted as a skilled mountaineer, the sheep thrives in the high altitudes of Valais, able to graze even on the steepest slopes. Its unique features, including black markings on the nose, eyes, ears, knees, and feet, along with its light, woolly coat, set it apart. Notably, its appearance has earned the title of "World's Cutest Sheep."

The wool of the Valais Blacknose sheep is both warm and resilient, capable of withstanding the toughest storms while also regulating hot summer temperatures – making it the ideal material for carpets and other interior furnishings.
